An Import Declaration is a declaration document submitted to Customs Department by the Customs Brokers. Using this document, the Custom Brokers submits informations regarding the goods to be imported into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The information includes type of goods, the weight of the goods, exemptions applicable etc.
The Customs Department inturn sends the Customs Brokers information like duties applicable, the fees payable etc. The Customs Department may approve or reject the Import Declaration at any stage. Only after the physical inspection of goods the Customs Department may approve the Import Declaration and subsequent clearance of goods.
